If you have enjoyed doing 2-D projects at Mill Street Loft’s Red Hook’s Duchess Arts Camp, continue the fun this fall with this new after school program with our mixed media artist Mira Fink. Children will complete several projects, improve their drawing skills, try out different art materials and explore where ever their creativity may lead them. All materials are provided.

Fall Watercolor Painting Classes

Date: Saturdays, Oct 13, 20, 27, Nov. 3, 10 & 17
Time: 1:00 pm- 3:30 pm

Learn to paint in watercolor for the first time or continue to improve your skills. Through demonstrations and individual instruction you will learn about using watercolor materials, techniques, composition, creating color values and more in a fun and supportive environment. Beginners and students with some experience are welcome. Some previous drawing experience is recommended. Material list provided upon registration.

Mixed Media "Art Play" Class for Adults

Date: Monday nights, Oct 15, 22, 29, Nov. 5, 12 & 19

Why should kids be the only ones allowed to play? Come out and make art in a fun and supportive, "no stress to achieve" environment. This is an opportunity to try many different types of media, explore your creativity and get in touch with your sense of play. All materials are provided for you. Appropriate for artists at any level, no previous experience with art is needed.

About the Instructor

Mira Fink is an accomplished watercolor artist and certified art teacher. Her paintings inspired by the natural world have been exhibited in solo and juried shows locally and regionally for the last 20 years and are in many private collections all over the country.

Mira Fink is a certified and seasoned art teacher who has been enjoying teaching painting and mixed media projects at Duchess Arts Camps in the Red Hook and Poughkeepsie Camps for over 6 years. Mira has also taught painting workshops and classes for adults at the Art Society of Kingston, SUNY Ulster, The Esopus Library and at The Wallkill River School of Art.
